Halloween
Charlotte was Elmo for Halloween!!
Getting ready for Trick or Treating |
In the weeks leading up to Halloween she found her Elmo costume and treated it like a life-size Elmo doll. I would walk into a room and find her snuggling up with Elmo like this:
At first, she was completely unwilling to wear the hat portion of her costume which made her look like she was just wearing a red snowsuit:
But, I told her that she had to wear the hat or no one was going to give her candy. Hey, it may have been mean, but that hat didn't come off until we were back home practically.
And here's a a couple pictures of me and Charlotte sitting on the kitchen floor gorging ourselves on candy after trick-or-treating.
Here's one of Charlotte and her Daddy:
And here is one of Charlotte trick-or-treating at her MaMaw's house:
I'll get some more pictures up soon!

The Pumpkin Patch!
We met up with some friends at Dream Field Farms pumpkin patch today. Charlotte had a blast! Lots of things for her to do! We're going again on Friday when her Nana is in town, so we will probably have some pictures to show from that too.

Spanish Immersion Preschool
My friend and former college roommate Mary Miller (nee Knauer) is starting a Spanish language immersion preschool in Springfield, Missouri. I'm sure this will be fabulous, so I wanted to place a link here to help out with her web search optimization. I wish we lived nearby and could participate. Here is the link!

Italy and Easter Training
Drew and I went to Italy last week and left poor pitiful Miss Charlotte behind. She cried the entire week we were gone because she missed us so desperately....
Uh....not so much. She had such a fabulous time with her grandmothers and Jackie that she hardly noticed we were gone. I think they went to Gymboree about eight times and to the zoo and to the Children's Museum and to the neighborhood park. I think Charlotte was starting to think she could do without us entirely. Since her grandmothers have left, she's been running around asking for Nanna and Mamaw constantly. She's been a bit clingy too, though, so I guess she did miss her momma at least a little.
I forgot to ask Drew's mom to send us some pictures from when Drew and I were out of town, so all our eager readers will have to wait a bit for those.
I've added a few below from Charlotte's Easter Egg Hunting Training Session. My mom wasn't going to get to see her on Easter, so she brought Easter early. She cooked us a fabulous lunch of ham, sweet potato casserole, squash casserole, rolls, and corn. Yum. And after we ate and Charlotte napped, we "hid" some eggs for Charlotte to find. She had a blast with them. And she's been wanting to hunt eggs ever since. She is totally going to kick those other kids butts at Easter Egg hunting.
There's also a picture of Charlotte visiting with the Easter Bunny in our neighborhood clubhouse. She was not a fan. Neither were any of the other kids! Ha!

And here are a few pictures from Italy....
The top one is the Colliseum in Rome, obviously. The middle is Drew throwing a coin into the Trevi Fountain, and the last one is me in Verona on Juliet's balcony.
Charlotte misses all her friends and family. Hope to see you soon. Till then, enjoy the pictures!
